The Power of Subliminal Suggestion

Are you looking for a technique that will help you influence others' opinions and actions? Many people believe subliminal suggestion is a method that will work to manipulate others' minds. For the last hundred years, governments and advertisers have tried to use subliminal suggestions to persuade people.

Perhaps you are not interested in persuading others, but you are intrigued by the idea of increasing your own satisfaction in life. Many experts believe subliminal suggestions can be used to enhance performance at work, help you quit smoking, or build your self-assurance.

While there is no concrete evidence that subliminal suggestion works, many people have been convinced of the power of subliminal messages. Subliminal communications supposedly bypass the thinking, conscious brain. Instead, they pass directly into the subconscious part of the mind and influence a person's belief and knowledge structures.

It has been proven that the subconscious mind picks up messages throughout your daily life experience. The subconscious does use that information to change behavior in the conscious mind; examples include instinctual reactions to stimuli. Those who believe in the power of subliminal suggestion believe that the subconscious mind is very powerful, and that it exerts a lot of control over conscious decisions.

Many celebrities like Anthony Robbins and Tiger Woods claim that subliminal suggestions are a key to their success. These celebrities use books, videos, and other forms of subliminal control to influence their performance and concentration. Like these well-known stars, many people attempt to harness the power of their subconscious by subjecting their mind to rapidly flashing images or subtle auditory suggestions hidden behind music.

Proponents say that subliminal suggestion can be used to improve your life in many areas. Subliminal messages can help you achieve goals like losing weight or gaining self-confidence. By influencing the conscious mind through imprinting messages onto the subconscious mind, perhaps you can improve your life as well!

Attracting the Leads You Need

With the home contracting market becoming more competitive every year, it is essential for you to attract the leads you need to prosper and grow. Leads can come from a variety of sources, referrals, home shows, and direct marketing can all generate quality leads. With all leads it is important to make sure they are qualified leads. If you are spending a lot of time chasing down leads that are not interested you are wasting too much of your time.

Every contractor in the business knows that referrals are by far the best source for referrals. Turning these referral leads in to sales is your job. Any home contracting company has got to cultivate referral leads. If you are trying to run a business without referrals you are dead in the water. Referrals are crucial to your success.

A company website is becoming more and more important as the internet becomes ever more vital to our economy. On your website you should have your potential customer register so you know their name, where they live, and what they are looking for. It is also important to follow up on these leads immediately. These customers are on the internet to have instant service.

Home improvement shows are also a very good place to find valuable leads. Thousands of people every year attend these home shows. Some are coming just to look around but most of them are looking for a contractor. You and your sales team have to talk to everyone that walks by your booth. One way to get these leads is to offer a drawing for a prize. For the small price of a moderately priced prize you can generate hundreds of leads, as well as being able to weed out the leads that aren't qualified.

Following this simple advice will help you attract the leads you need.

Hiring a Great Pool Removal Contractor

For some, removing a swimming pool may seem like removing a house. Once you realize it can be done, you may be thinking...but how? How can a huge, concrete based pool that takes up my entire yard be removed safely and efficiently? All kinds of questions may be going through your mind: Will we disrupt the neighbors? How will they get a bulldozer into my yard? What if they hit a gas or water line? Lets face it, fear and anxiety are the emotions we feel when faced with the unknown. These are the emotions that make scary movies, giant roller coasters and haunted houses so compelling, but when you are hiring a pool removal contractor the last thing you want to feel is fear. So how do you handle this process? How do you hire a pool removal contractor in the bay area or anywhere else? The best way to do it is to simply eliminate the unknowns.

When it comes to hiring a swimming pool removal company here is the best advice I can give you: Hire a company that has removed a lot of pools. That's it. It's just that simple. Practice really does make perfect. Plus, there's a reason why a particular contractor has done a lot of work. People trust them - they have a track record. It's no different than if you needed brain surgery and you were interviewing surgeons. If the doctor told you it would be his first, but another other one had done a hundred procedures, who would you pick? You'd probably be concerned about the outcome if you chose the first doctor. Same goes for pool removal. Pick a contractor that knows their stuff!

So, you have started the search. You are calling contractors and talking to friends. How much experience should your pool demolition contractor have? One hundred pools or more certainly would be a high benchmark. If a company has removed that many swimming pools, they understand all the pitfalls and problems that can arise. That makes it much more likely your job will get done right and in a timely manner. It's an important job, one you want done right. Going with the right contractor could mean the difference between getting it done cleanly and simply in just a few days versus it taking weeks and potential legal hassles. Keep it simple.

Here's another bit of advice: Always check the references of pool removal contractors. People have been getting burned by contractors of all types for years because of not following this step. You especially want to do this if you live in an area where there aren't a lot of in-ground swimming pools. The chances of any one contractor having a great deal of pool removal experience won't be high. The important thing is that you can verify the jobs they have done, and see if their customers were satisfied with the contractors work. Do yourself a favor, check them once and check them twice - call at least 3-5 of their former customers. See what they thought of the work performed. It could save you a huge headache later.

The other thing I always tell people concerns money: Be very leery about giving a contractor money in advance. Did you know that most states have laws about how much money a contractor can ask for up front? Its true. It seems that people have been getting burned by contractors for so long, that the government finally had to step in. If you are serious about your pool removal and want to do it right, you might make it a point to know what your state law is regarding this. Generally, it's a very small percentage of the contract price. In cases where permit fees are high and it takes a long time to get approval, contractors may want the customers to cover those costs. Bottom line: If a contractor asks for a lot of money up front, do yourself a favor: don't do it!

The main point I want to get across is this: do a little home work before hiring a contractor. A pool removal is a big deal. It can be expensive. You really need to ensure that it is done professionally, and at the right price. Whatever you do, don't go with the first bid that comes your way. And if a particular contractor seemed a little shady - trust your instincts, they probably are. Keep looking! When you have confidence that your contractor can deliver, then you can relax and actually enjoy the process. Think about it: your new backyard and new lifestyle are waiting!

What is the Evil Eye?

The Evil Eye has been around since the beginning of time. It simply means sending someone a thought that seems intrusive or invasive or has the power to hurt him or her. The bad fortune that results is considered to have been caused by envy. The evil eye is not necessarily considered to be intentional or associated with witchcraft or sorcery. Oddly enough, this thought form could actually be complimentary in nature. The origins of the Evil Eye are Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean. The concept was introduced into the Americas, South Pacific Islands, Asia, Africa and Australia by European explorers.

Sending someone the evil eye comes from the concept that we all have a Third Eye, located in the center of our forehead. Blinding, fogging or obscuring the third eye is often the intent of the energys sender. Most of us have experienced the weird power of the phenomenon. All it takes is a gaze that seems to be unfriendly, indifferent or blank and seems to a couple of seconds too long. We think about it for a few minutes afterwards or perhaps an image of the person staring at us preoccupies our thoughts occasionally for the rest of the day. Perhaps that is why the British and Scottish term for the evil eye is overlooking. It implies that a gaze has remained too long upon the coveted object, person or animal.

The evil eye is also known as the envious or invidious eye. In Italian it is called the malocchio and in Spanish the malojo (loosely translated as the bad eye) The evil eye is known as ayin horeh in Hebrew; ayin harsha in Arabic, droch shuil in Scotland, mauvais oeil in France, bsen Blick in Germany, and was known as oculus malus among the classical Romans.

The original belief is that any person can harm your children, livestock, fruit trees or any other evidence of prosperity just by looking at the spoils of all your good will and hard work with envy. Ironically, the curse of the evil eye is thought to be provoked by inappropriate displays of spiritual pride or excessive beauty. There is a theory that very famous people and celebrities suffer more personal misfortune than others simply because they are subjected to more overlooking and envy than others.

This superstition might have some grounding in evolutionary psychology as usually one animal is thought to dominate or be aggressive to another simply by staring at it for too long. Psychologically speaking, staring or glaring at someone is officially considered an intrusion into your affairs. Apparently, there is a fine line between casting a glance to casting a spell. In these post Celestine Prophecy times, this kind of stare could be compared to a kind of etheric laser beam or amoebic arm that rips open your aura. Others would describe the infliction of the evil eye as the projection of an image (such as the image of the person you have offended or hurt) so that you see only that to the exclusion of all other sight. In other words, you see that person wherever you go or feel that your lifes events are always colored by your dealing with that person. Another symptom is the inability to proceed with ordinary, daily events without feeling somehow compelled to make things right with the person you have often unknowingly offended with your grandiosity.

It is common folklore that the evil eye has a dehydrating effect on its victim. It is thought to cause vomiting, diarrhea, the drying up of the milk of nursing mothers and livestock, problems with the blood, eyesight lack of rain, the drying up of wells, the withering of fruit and impotence in men. Clumsiness, stomachaches, dry coughs, diarrhea, itching, hair loss, dry skin are all thought to be physical symptoms of an evil eye attack e. On the astral level it is thought to cause the drying up of prana, chi, life force and the easy flow of prosperity in life. Part of this image might derive from the idea also, of muddy, murky or poisoned vision that is somehow attached to the victims third eye.

Almost everywhere that the evil eye belief exists, it is said to be caused accidentally by envy or praise. Thus the phrase Pride Goeth Before a Fall In certain Mediterranean and eastern cultures, one is careful not to praise a child too much, lest it invite the subconscious balancing effect of the evil eye. A classic situation would be the barren woman who praises the newborn baby of a new child. Such praise would be considered inappropriate and thought to bring the evil child. One of the remedies for this would be for the mother to spit, to symbolically rehydrate the situation. Also, she may speak ill of the child OT counteract the effects of the praise, which might have malefic effects on the child later.

The belief that individuals have the power to cast the evil eye on purpose is more idiosyncratic to Sicily and Southern Italy, although the belief has certainly spread elsewhere to the Southern United States and the Latin Americas. Such people are known as jettatore (projectors). They are not necessarily considered evil or envious, just born with an unfortunate embarrassing talent that causes others to avoid them. In ancient cultures, if you were thought to be the possessor of an evil eye, you were often negated by the rest of society and went unrecognized on the street without meeting anyones eyes.

Perhaps one of the most familiar preventative measures against the evil eye is the hand gesture. The Mano Cornufo or Horned Hand involves extending the first and index fingers from a fist. The Mano Fico or Fig hand involves placing the thumb in between first and second fingers.
Historically there have been many cures for the evil eye:

In Italy, the evil eye is diagnosed by dripping olive oil into a vessel filled with water. If the oil conglomerates into the shape of an eye than the victim is considered officially cursed. Prayers are recited until the droplets of oil no longer create an eye shape.

In Eastern Europe charcoal, coal or burnt match heads are dropped into a pan of water/. If the items float then the person is considered to be the victim of a curse.

In the Ukraine, a form of ceromancy or candle reading is used to diagnose the curse. Melted wax is dripped from a candle into a pan of water. If the wax spits, splatters, or sticks to the side of the bowl then the patient is considered to be under the influence of the malefic eye. Usually the patient is cleansed with Holy Water. He or she is pronounced cured when the dripped wax sinks the bottom of the bowl in a round ball.

In Greece Mexico and other places, the official cure is to invite the culprit responsible for the evil eye to spit in a vessel of the holy water that is consumed by the victim.

In Mexico, rolling a raw egg over the body of the victim is the antidote. Afterwards, it is cracked open and if the metaphysician or healer divines the shape of an eye in the yolks then the person is considered to be cursed. Several eggs may be repeatedly rolled over the persons body until an egg without an eye if found. Sometimes the egg is placed underneath the persons bed overnight and cracked open in the morning.

In China the remedy for the evil eye is the Pa Kua mirror, a six-sided mirror that is hung on the front door or placed in the front window to reverse bad energy back to the sender. Some of these mirrors are convex to reflect back the bad poison darts or arrows of multiple ill wishers and some are concave to reflect energy in a definite direction back at, for instance, a nosy neighbor, whose gaze may have lingered on your garden of tulips for too long. In Feng Shui, mirrors are often used as a cure all to reflect negative energy back at all kinds of things people, bad architecture, traffic, neighbors, physical obstructions such as trees or rocks or anything else that might considered to be a conductor of Har Shui (negative vibrations).

In India the mirroring back of the evil eye takes the form of small mirrors that are sewn, braided or crocheted into clothing. This mirroring back of bad energy is also familiar to practitioners of Wicca and Lukumi or Santeria. In India, the human eye is also considered to be a mirror of the soul. Indian women wear kohl or heavy black makeup to emphasize their eyes not only to shield themselves from evil eye but also to prevent themselves from accidentally inflicting it on others. In India cords strung with blue beads are placed on newborn babies. When the cord breaks and the beads are lost the child is considered to have a strong enough aura to protect him or herself from the evil eye. Red cords worn upon the wrist or neck are thought to have a powerful effect against ocular malevolence. A silver charm called Eye of Buddha which references the Gautama Buddha is also worn against astral attack.

In Italy, gold, silver or gems carved or cast into the shape of the Mano Fica or Mano Cornufa are used to repel the evil. The most coveted ones are made of red coral, but many versions exist today made of gemstones and plastic. They are worn by men to protect against the withering of the genitals thought to be caused by the bad eye. Also Italian in origin is the Corno or horn or devils horn amulet that is thought to protect against the same dysfunction. The womens version is made from a twig of red coral.

In Arab cultures, superstitious types wear an eye in the form of a stone cast in the center of a hand shaped bone or metal charm A common Egyptian charm is the Buckle of Isis which represents the menstrual pad of the Goddess Isis who was the Mother of all living things. Stuffing a little prayer or spell inside a locket that is hung around the neck is the common European custom for protecting oneself against deadly gazes.

A light worker such as myself might advise you to protect yourself in the following contemporary ways:

Always maintain the belief that nobody has the power to hurt you with a look. This in itself is a very powerful thought form.

Before you go out, imagine that your third eye is actually covered by something that looks like a small pocket mirror. If you are a psychic or a healer then simply close your third eye and dont open it unless you want to look.

If you are feeling haunted or upset as the result of a look, press your thumb hard into the center of your forehead and imagine your third eye quickly flipping. Flick the energy away with your thumb and snap your fingers.

Always remember that what you resist often persists. The phrase Oh, so what! is one of the most powerful chemicals in the universe that you can use to dissolve negative energy.

A Memory

Although hard to believe, it has been almost nine years since my Grandpa passed away. I've lost other family members before, but none left an impact on my life such as him. He was more than a Grandpa to me, he was a substitute parent and the friend I knew I could always count on.

In the spring of 1999 my family received the devastating news that Grandpa had cancer. I was fifteen years old at the time, but what small amount of child I had left in me begged and pleaded for the fairy tale ending, that my Grandpa was invincible. He had always been in my life, how could that change?

School was almost done for the year and I decided that my place was with him. Immediately following my last class I packed up my things and moved into my Grandparents house.

Looking back on it now I can honestly say that it was the best summer of my life. Although it was the hardest at many moments, I had more smiles and laughter in those nine weeks than I could have hoped for. Maybe it was due to the chilling sadness of the summers surroundings, my mind seemed to burn certain images into memory. I have this perfect recollection of Grandpa sitting on the couch watching the eleven o'clock news, as I walked up beside him holding an old alarm clock he had given me, he turns to see me with his chin ever so slightly pressed downward into his chest in an attempt to peer over his large brown rimmed glasses, and then a smile creeps across his face.

It's one of those smiles that curves right up, making me laugh a little to myself because it almost reminds me of a clown smile, then something tells me he's doing it on purpose. He reaches his hands out to me and I offer him the clock. You see, that clock had always been his and the key on the back that set the alarm was just as stiff as the clock was old. My little fingers just weren't strong enough to turn it, so every night I would go downstairs to my room, get ready for bed, collect the clock and take it to him...because his fingers did have the strength....and every night he would smile at me, take the clock and set the alarm.

I suppose part of me believed that as long as his fingers were strong enough to turn that key, he was strong enough to keep fighting, strong enough to stay with me.

The memory of that night, although only a mere fraction of the time we had spent together, means more to me than words can express. To know the hardship he was enduring through his fight with cancer, that such a simple act could bring such a smile to his face. That in that moment, through the smile we both shared, we were together and we were okay.

Lighting Your Path From Within

You might have heard the expression, 2009 is your year to shine. Please, let that be true every year! Yet there is truth in that statement. The Universal energies are revved up at the moment to help bring your evolution to new heights. This is a highly charged time to help you create the life of your dreams, and more importantly, fulfill your higher purpose. As you radiate your inner light, you act as a beacon of hope and inspiration for others, and truly make the world a more beautiful place.
2009 is a Universal year of 11. (We derive this by adding the numbers 2+0+0+9=11). 11 an extremely powerful number; in numerology, it is considered a master number. As the name implies, master numbers require skill and dexterity as they present great challenges and subsequently, immense rewards.

It is evident what many of the challenges are at the moment; we are all aware of the crumbling global economy and the energy crisis that threatens our standard of living. And yet, these crises initiate an immense opportunity for us to change our collective future in ways that galvanize our innate healing and creative powers.

Every crisis, whether personal or universal, is a message from our soul to seek a new restorative path. Our current global economic collapse reveals a necessity for us to build healthier more efficient businesses based on the principles of integrity and service. Our pending energy deficit is a directive for us all, at long last, to end the cycle of depleting and polluting our earth's resources in favor of harnessing the unlimited power of nature in a clean and regenerative way. There can never truly be a shortage of energy; it is all around us. As long as the sun is shining, the winds are blowing, and the waters are flowing, we have an unlimited supply of vital life-giving energy. You too have an unlimited supply of infinite creative Source energy that you can tap into at any time to invigorate your life.

We are fortunate now to experience the powerful vibration of 11. The highly charged 11 is considered the number of intuition and illumination. In fact, the word LIGHT reduces to the number 11. The 11 vibration emphasizes the need for you to rely on your inner light, to align yourself with Spirit to find your true calling, and illuminate your path from within. Should you choose to place your faith in the external material world for your security, you might experience confusion or fear. However, if you choose to listen to that voice inside of yourself that believes in the goodness within and around you, and trust your unique calling, you will always find your way.

You might hear people refer to 11 as being a number of the number of wishes. Perhaps you have an awareness that seeing 11:11 signifies something magical. Your thoughts are indeed more potent during this mystical alignment. The shape of the 1 is like an antenna, creating a conduit between you and the Divine. In the Tree of Life, the number 1 is at the top of the tree, at our crown where we receive our inspiration, as well at the bottom of the tree, where the divine becomes manifest into being. 1 is the Alpha and the Omega. The sacred geometry of the number 1 allows you to receive inspiration from Spirit and materialize those visions into reality very quickly. It is electric!

The double 1s in the number 11 create something even more profound. Look closely at the shape of number 11; the double columns of the creative 1 energy represent the pillars of the soul - a portal into a higher realm. Should you have the courage to walk through those pillars into the unknown, amazing opportunities await you!

So how do you do this? How do you face the unknown without fear? One thing to remember is that you came into the world with an intention. Not one person on this planet can offer your unique brand of humor, wisdom, creativity, kindness, healing or love. If you chose to incarnate at this time it is because you had something you wanted to learn and contribute. Any gift inside of you was given to you by the same infinitely powerful Creative forces that will help you bring these gifts into being. If you were given a dream, you were also given the tools, power, strength, and support to fulfill your heart's desire. All of the forces in the Universe will help you manifest your purpose.

The genius of your creation resides inside you like a seed that is planted deep within the earth. A seed innately knows the correctness of its purpose while it unabashedly reaches towards the sun. It needs only careful tending to reveal its true magnificence. Your spirit is like a flower that needs proper nourishment to grow and thrive. Just like a flower, when you express yourself in all of your beauty, all who experience you will bask in the joy of your being.

You might want to reflect on what seeds you are cultivating in your life right now. Are you nourishing seeds of joy, hope, serenity, love, and compassion? Are you honoring your spirit by living passionately and expressing your truth? Or are you focusing on what is not working in your life now and what you are afraid of?

Your passions will inevitably lead you to your purpose, and joy will guide you towards your calling. You know you are on the correct course when you are passionately engaging in your journey, flowing with the natural rhythm of your life. During these moments all of your cells will wake up and say "Yes! This is it! Keep going! It is like being on a highway and seeing signs towards your desired destination. Spiritual energy is light. It actually feels light. When you feel joy within you, you radiate a positive loving energy and those around you cannot help but feel better in your presence. And truly, your ultimate calling is to be joyful and share that joy with others.

Consequently, when you feel heaviness, confusion, or fear, that's your body's way of telling you that you are not in alignment with Spirit. Material concerns, while very real, can often distract you from your soul's truth. Feelings of worry, regret, comparison, can all seem very rational and logical, yet can take you out of your awareness of the now. The energy of the future is being created by the energy that you are cultivating in the moment. So while you are engaging in worry about your future, or regrets of the past, you are merely perpetuating a continuous cycle of worry. Rather, a series of simple and beautiful present moments will create a future of joy and serenity.

Now is a potent time to ask yourself - what do I really want to do with my life? If I wasn't afraid of the consequences, or what people thought of me, or who I would be disappointing, what would I really do? Instead of asking your head for the answers, ask the wisdom of your heart. Take a moment to put your fears aside, relax with a deep breath, sink into the infinite lightness of your being, and ask your heart, what do I really want right now?

The answer could be something very simple. Perhaps you would like to have more time to yourself, garden, dance, or do yoga, or something more pronounced like starting your own business or moving to another part of the world. Anything that nourishes your spirit and feeds your soul will lead you towards your destiny. When you nurture your gifts, bringing them life, energy, and power, you are tending the growth of the great miracle of creation that is YOU.

I remind you in these tumultuous times, as the winds of change blow in your direction, that you need not be afraid of the dark. You have all that you need for your spiritual journey within you; your passions to energize you, your imagination to inspire you, and your intuition to guide you towards your destiny. You will inevitably meet other courageous dreamers along the way, who dare not dim their brilliance. Together, you will illuminate the path for many brave souls to shine brightly like stars in the sky, and the whole world will celebrate in a glorious festival of lights.

Prayer In My Earlier Life and Its Effects

Start Liking Yourself First

Darwin, Evolution & Spirituality

2009 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, author of On the Origin of Species and creator of the theory of evolution by natural selection. Although the scientific theories of relativity and quantum physics suggest the underlying nature of reality is very different than what we perceive through our senses, and thus have immense philosophical significance, they actually have virtually no impact upon our daily lives. In contrast, Darwin's widely accepted, but highly controversial, theory of evolution by natural selection has far reaching implications upon human society.

In essence evolution challenges the concept of an intelligent creator of life (God), instead suggesting it spontaneously arose and thrived through the principle of the survival of the fittest. Each new living entity carried random differences (mutations) from its parents. Those individuals with the differences that best suited the environment were most likely to reproduce, thus positive traits were maintained while negative ones tended to be eliminated. Over a very long timescale we have arrived at the marvelous biodiversity we are privileged to be part of today.

Given the influence of (Christian) religion on Victorian English society Darwin was initially reluctant to publish his conclusions, waiting some 20 years after his epic voyage on the Beagle before going public upon realizing another investigator, Alfred Russel Wallace, had reached the same conclusions. Unsurprisingly his work met with criticism and ridicule, with Darwin often lampooned as part-man part-ape.

Despite a mass of evidence confirming the validity of evolution as a description of how life on earth came about many religious fundamentalists continue to favor creationism, ie belief that life was created by a supreme being as currently found.

A major criticism of evolution is the interpretation of "survival of the fittest" that stands as a justification of eugenics and warfare. By pitting nation against nation, race against race, ideology against ideology, the whole process of human progress is speeded up by anticipating nature in eliminating the inferior.

Although the weight of evidence stands against creationism, there are arguments that suggest evolution may not be the whole story. It cannot satisfactorily account for acts of altruism. Nor can it be denied that the immense superiority enjoyed by the human race has been achieved more by cooperation than competition.

The genetic composition with which we are born is simply the cards we are dealt (or more likely, choose) at the start of the game. It is how we play/use those cards that forms our true purpose of being.

A Spiritual interpretation considers the material plane we inhabit as just one particular level of reality. A level that is subordinate to more fundamental, ie Spiritual levels. Evolution may be likened to Newtonian physics, which very accurately approximates (but doesn't fully describe) reality. Evolution describes the development of life on one level. But it doesn't tell the whole story.

Spirit created the earth (physical) plane in which it could individuate and thus act out myriad scenarios. But the earth plane is denser and more bound by deterministic law than the ethereal realms. Quantum physics has revealed it has but a small window of freedom at the sub-atomic level through which the Will of Spirit may shape it. Evolution is an approximation, albeit a very good one. It is the most efficient means by which the diversity, in which our incarnate interactions take place, could have arisen.

Nature is cruel, described by Tennyson as "red in tooth and claw." Indeed, a recent BBC wildlife documentary Nature's Great Events received complaints on the amount of cruelty depicted. Such complaints stand as testimony to the vast degree by which humanity stands above its brethren.

At a broader level, from a Spiritual perspective, nature's cruelty is insignificant compared to the benefits of progress. The momentary injustices and suffering on this plane are soon washed away by the realization of eternality. On the Spiritual level those that suffer are all volunteers, and are ultimately rewarded in some way for their pains.

Undoubtedly, Darwin's theory of natural selection is a mighty leap forward in our understanding of how we came about. It accurately describes how so many different living species have come to inhabit this beautiful planet. However, as much as we may know about the components and mechanism that form a human being these things can never inform us about the experience of being human, nor explain that deep inner certainty of free will or the desire for purpose and fulfillment.

How Many Disciples Were There, Really

Believe And Achieve

The Sound of Soul

Have you ever wondered if soul has a sound? We may experience the sound of soul more than we know. Any time you move your attention to the inner dynamics of what lies behind your body and your mind, your soul will reveal itself to you.

Soul can be experienced outside your body and your mind as well. Just the other day, I was riding in my car with my friend Suzanne. We drove by an old barn that was caving in upon itself.

At some point, this barn stood upright. It was strong and enclosed many vehicles and animals for years. As with people, this barn aged over time. What once was a structure capable of containing many experiences of life, now, became a broken reflection of moments filled with life suspended in time.

You and I are a structural mind/body system that holds experiences within us just like this barn. As we recall these memories, these past experiences move our awareness toward an expression of experience where stillness allows us to re-live soulful memories filled with life and vitality. These inner visions, feelings, and experiences are our soul's way of speaking to us.

In silent reflection, our attention moves into expressions of living that are eternal. It is the part of us that is aware of our awareness. The part of us aware of our awareness and not identifying with the need to compete, become successful, or any other manifestations of the material world.

Our soul is the identification with what lies behind all appearances of separateness. This part of us needs no eyes to see, no ears to hear, no hands to touch, no tounge to taste, and no nose to smell. Our soul is completely free of any expression of our world. Our soul is the part of us that infuses all these qualities of attention.

Our soul is the silent spaces between every thought, word, and deed. It is a pregnant silence, all pervading, all knowing, and filled with eternity. Our soul is a connecting point from the world of flesh and the world of Spirit. The sacred human relationship between the form and formless states of our being create a spacial quality of existence within and beyond us whereby infinite possible correlations become the path of our soul.

* Try this exercise:

The next time you wake up in the morning, listen to your surroundings, just listen and do not analyze any sound. Let your attention be drawn into the sounds around you. Notice how far they are from you or how close. Do not try to define anything - just notice. You may hear birds, cars on the street, or the sounds of your home. Now, notice the part of you noticing all these sounds. What does this part of you sound like?

There is another sound within you. It is the part of you constantly speaking, analyzing, and judging. This part of you begins to plan your day, organize, and worry. It is the part of you that drives you out of silent witnessing all the events taking place around you. This part of you will get you out of bed in the morning.

At this point, learn to integrate the two consciously. They are going on anyway. This way ordinary events in your life will become sacred human awareness and a life filled with gratitude for every moment. Did you notice the difference between these two sounds? One moves your attention into the material world. The other moves you deeper into silence - the part of you aware of life's inner qualities the Sound of Soul.

The Greek Deity Known as Hestia

When one thinks to Greek Deities, Hestia, probably does not come to mind. Less dramatic than others, she still played an important role in Greek culture.

The Greek Deity Known as Hestia

In ancient Greece, fourteen Olympians made up the pantheon of gods that were worshiped by the Greeks. While some of these deities are extremely well-known today, such as Zeus, Aphrodite and Athena, others are less familiar. These gods, while not in the forefront of Greek mythology, still played a major part in the lives of the ancient Greeks. One of these is Hestia, the first and last born daughter of the Titan Chronos.

In pre-Olympic mythology, the story is told of how the Titans Chronos and Rhea had twelve children, destined to be the first twelve gods of Mount Olympus. Chronos was upset by the birth of his offspring, so he swallowed all of them except for the youngest, Zeus. Hestia was the first born of Chronos, therefore she was the first swallowed. After Zeus led a war against the Titans and won, Chronos was forced to disgorge his offspring, and Hestia, being swallowed first, came out last. In this way, she was both the first and last born daughter of Chronos.

Hestia is seen as the deity of the hearth, and of order and family. She was depicted as being virginal, and her name actually means home and hearth. The town hall (prytaneum) of every town had a public hearth, at which sacrifices and dedications were made to Hestia. It also was her official sanctuary. When a new village or colony was established, a flame from one of the existing hearths of Hestia was carried to that new place, and she was later seen as the governing power over the connection between colonies and mother cities.

While not the most active or strongest of the Greek pantheon, Hestia was worshiped in every house. Her altar was seen as being located in every home and public hearth, and she was also regarded as a model of virginity and chastity.

Finding the Truth About the Secret

Jesus said what you sow you shall reap. In a sense, this is what "The Secret" and the so-called law of attraction are all about. But while Jesus was speaking to the way we treat others, The Secret is about what we manifest for ourselves through our thoughts and beliefs. In other words its about how we treat ourselves.

We see the law of attraction in play all around us every day. Think about that relative or friend for whom everything always goes wrong. No matter what business they start or relationship they get in, nothing ever works out. You might be inclined to say they've had an endless string of bad luck.

Most of us are kind of in between, having some "good luck" and some "bad luck". Maybe you can't seem to get rid of your credit card debt, while your neighbor, who only makes a modest income, got rid of hers in almost painless fashion. These are examples of how the law of attraction can work in a bad way-attracting negative things with negative energy. We also know it can work in a positive way and attract good things with positive energy. Besides knowing people with an endless string of bad luck, you've probably known people who seem to have everything work out for them. The truth of the law is self-evident, the hard part is really making it work for you.

Its easy enough to accept that you control what you attract into your life. What needs to happen next is getting in harmony with the positive energy that is already out there in the universe. If you want greater prosperity in your life then visualize it. It really is that simple but we also have to avoid getting in harmony with negative energy-which will act as a roadblock to manifesting our dreams. For many of us our conditioning and habitual way of thinking is caught up in the negative. That's why its so easy to worry about paying bills off instead of visualizing wealth.

So it isn't that the law of attraction doesn't work, its working all the time. But it works on our conditioning and habitual ways of thinking that are rooted in the unconscious mind-and its hard to undo a lifetime of bad programming in a day. If your subconscious mind is not in tune with positive energy, then "the secret" isn't going to work the way you want it to. But there are ways to learn how to reprogram your unconscious mind and underlying beliefs. Then the law of attraction will work in abundance.

Guides and Spirit Helpers

As group consciousness grows and the electromagnetic field of energy gains strength, people are becoming aware of their spirit guides and helpers

In the New Energy and oneness of consciousness, it is getting easier to sense the presence of spirit helpers coming around us.

These can be sensed in many ways. I have noticed them as a slight disturbance in the field of energy, in the aura of the body: a slight tingling on the surface, or the sensation of cobwebs around the skin.

On one occasion I could see the outline of the presence and noticed a breaking up of the normal space/time as the entity passed by. This was like a crack in one reality as another reality came through.

Spirit guides and helpers are usually invisible but some sensitive people can see them with clairvoyance or connect with one of the other "clairs", like clairsentience.

In our quiet moments or times of danger, we can communicate with these Spirit helpers. Sometimes one of them puts themselves forward to act as our Doorkeeper: a single channel through which communication passes to our Higher Self and the Spirit and Angelic Realms.

Spirit helpers will work with us if asked; so it is important to clearly feel what we would like to show up in our life.

We can communicate with them with our imagination, day dreaming or night dreaming. It is easiest to connect through images, symbols or pictures, using our powers of visualisation on a feeling level.

When working with the Spirit world it is good to think of the perfect outcome or creation, as the imagination is unbounded and has a field of all possibilities as its basis. There is no need to be concerned with where the resources are going to come from as the Spirit world has infinite energy at its disposal.

Evolutionary desires are loved by the Spirit world as the nature of life is to grow and expand. New ideas which have never been put forward before are appreciated by the Spirit world as they open up new channels for energy to flow in.

Things which help to bring wealth and joy into other people's lives by giving from your heart using your creative aspects in an artistic or cultural field gain a lot of support and help.

Using Spirit communication through telepathy and subtle imagination of specific connections to loved ones and family, bring the awareness of this power to the surface of one's consciousness.

Relax and know there is nothing to fear except fear itself, as on this level of awareness you see your subtle connection to everything: it all becomes you.

As you become skilled in using the more subtle levels of the conscious mind and feelings to interact with Spirit, you are also helping to bring these gifts to more of the population: as your awareness grows, so does the general awareness in group consciousness.

You will be helping the planet to evolve and grow in the New Energy and increasing the power and awareness of the Spirit kingdom and all the various levels of spirit guides and helpers in the Angelic kingdom.

There are also healing helpers psychic surgeons (surgeons in Spirit) to help improve the health of your own body and those around you.

So why not spend a few minutes each day using your spirit guides and helpers to connect with the subtle feelings, to communicate with your Higher Self, inviting them to co-create with you different aspects of your life.

Stop Unnecessarily Consuming Energy and Water With Reusable Bags

Many people understand the benefits of using reusable bags in terms of the "end-life" of plastic and paper. Reusable bags prevent the litter and landfill use that plastic and paper bags are really bad about. Another facet of the reusable bag picture is the production. Over their life, reusable bags consume far, far less energy than single-use bags. Plastic bags consume less energy and water than paper, but neither is a viable alternative to reusable bags.

Paper bags require nearly 3.5 times as much energy to produce than plastic bags. Further, due to their heavier weight, it is estimated that they consume about 50% more fossil fuels during their transport and use. The difference in water usage is even more eye-opening. Over 1,000 gallons of water are used in the life cycle of a paper bag compared to 58 gallons for the equivalent number/carrying capacity. Thus, when looking at energy and water use, paper bags fall short to plastic bags across the board. Neither is a better alternative than reusable shopping bags, though.

Compostable and/or biodegradable bags are available in some places and many people see them as viable alternatives. Although they are better at the end of their life, they are much more energy intensive during their production. Compostable plastic requires nearly 3 times as much energy to produce when compared to regular plastic bags. They also use more water.

Although they are more energy efficient than paper and compostable plastic, they all unnecessarily use energy, water, and fossil fuels that can be conserved by switching to reusable bags. It only takes 11 uses of a reusable bag to "break even" with energy consumption, and any use after that is like playing with house money.

How to Build a Solar Air Heater - Building a Homemade DIY Solar Air Heater

Why build a homemade DIY solar air heater if you could instantly go to a store and buy it? You have the choice of buying over making one for your home. If buying an air heater wouldn't be a great loss to your account, go for it. But think twice, money does not account for everything in this world. Do you know that buying an air heater contributes to the increasing loss of our environment? You may refuse what I'm saying but you can't reject the obvious and harmful effects of global warming. Climate changes due to this effect are very visible throughout the globe.

Solar energy never fails to provide the world adequate amount of solar energy which could equate our energy needs. Electricity demands continuously add up to the global issues concerning energy needs. Human as we are needs electricity to live life in motion. Life is stagnant and insensible without electricity. For us to constantly enjoy its unlimited feature we should be concern with some energy saving measures necessary for its long term effect on humanity. We must not think of pure leisure but also of responsible tips and ways to save energy, one way is knowing on how to build a solar air heater.

The following are the benefits of solar air heater:

Crop drying

Water removal(surface) for veggies and fruits

Warmth providers for animals and plants

Research constantly proves that solar energy could solely supply us energy. If humanity allows the solar energy as the main sour of our electrical needs, we could live in a world of less worry. Each one of us must work triple times to prevent the world from collapsing. Do you think it is not possible? I'm telling you right now that it's not impossible yet truly possible. If man continues to exploit every resource that he have, in no time you'll get surprised you have nothing to use. All things have its limit.

Solar air heater is advantageous especially in the field of crops. In building a homemade diy solar air heater you must used available resources within the vicinity. Improvisation of things must not cost you too much. Savings is a plus since you could use it in several valuable things and materials. Materials does not call for new equipments rather you could make use of old or used supplies provided it is still functional.

So What's So Good About Earth4Energy?

I guess the starting point is that using traditional, grid type energy is becoming expensive. This really hits home when you open your quarterly or monthly utility bills. And this upward inflation of utility bills will not go away. The reality is that it will only go up in the future. So people are looking for alternatives that are cheaper. Add this to a growing awareness of the environmental damage that humanity may be causing to the planet and it seems that people are beginning to take action.

A good way to take action is to use renewable energy systems for your home's power needs. Renewable energy has a couple of advantages. It does less damage to the environment than burning fossil fuels. And given that it is plentiful and sustainable, it's price is unlikely to rise in the future (in fact, as technology improves to harness renewable energy, it's costs can only get cheaper).

So the Earth4Energy guide is about creating 2 renewable energy systems for your home. To this extent I think it is quite good. It explains exactly how to build these systems, including sourcing the parts and how much they will cost. It also includes clear diagrams, photographs and instructions on how to put them together. It lists some of the criteria that make the systems viable.

But this is not the reason why I think this is a good manual for many people. No, I believe it is useful because it shows you how to install these systems for a fraction of the cost of a professionally designed and installed system. It takes the risk out of getting into renewable energy.

Cost has often been the stumbling block for many people that may be considering installing such a system. A professionally installed system could cost anything from $5000 to $20000. This obviously rules many people out and makes those that can afford this type of investment think twice before making a decision.

It also means that even though you will save on energy bills with such a system, it will take a number of years to get the initial investment back from these savings.

In the case of the systems you will be creating based on the Earth4Energy manual, the cost is small enough that you will have made the initial investment back within a couple of months (6 months maximum). After that, all the energy you create will supplement your energy needs and help to reduce your energy bills.

So there is less financial risk involved even if these systems may not have the capacity of the professional alternatives.

So basically this guide is valuable because it makes renewable energy systems in the home accessible and achievable to even the most cash strapped homeowner. This can not only help the individual, but can help everyone collectively, as environmental issues become more of an issue.

Get more information on the Earth4Energy manual at http://www.solarpowerappliances.com - The site has a good review of the manual and many other issues related to solar power and renewable energy.

Green Renewable Energy is the Future - Why Wait For the Benefits?

One of the major points in our latest presidential election was the call for more emphasis on clean sources of energy such as green renewable energy, and less on finite sources. There are a number of obvious reasons to do so, it's infinite, it's clean, and eventually it will allow us to stop relying on foreign sources for energy and fuel. While this technology is a ways off from being implemented on a large scale, you can take advantage of its benefits and most importantly its savings now.

Thanks largely in part to do it yourself guides, anyone can build their own solar cells or windmills. These are the two most practical tools available to home owners as the sun and wind are the two easiest sources to convert into natural electricity on a small scale. While this would cost you upwards of $3000 to have professionally installed, it's honestly easier than you think it would be to do it on your own and it works just as well. The natural electricity which you produce also works just as well as that which you would receive from the power company.

You can even profit off of green renewable energy. Some people who have extra land devote it on a larger scale to producing natural electricity. If you produce more natural electricity than you consume in a given month, you can sell the surplus back to the power company for a profit. People who do this on a large scale earn themselves a handsome second income and you can too, but on a smaller scale. It's really up to you.

It's estimated that the average household power bill in the United States is approximately $200 a month. This works out to roughly $2500 annually which you stand to save each year just by making this simple change. If you're interested in living off of green renewable energy, visit http://www.renewableenergyreviewed.com for in depth reviews on the leading do it yourself guides so that you can begin today.

Going Green Easy is Not Just About Saving on Energy

In my green research, I've found some interesting information. Remember though, being green is not just about saving energy. It's also about conserving the resources that we have so that our children's children can have a bright future for themselves.

Trying not to sound too much like a tree hugger, after all I am in construction. It would seem remiss of me if didn't acknowledge that I participate and fully advocate growth where it is needed. But, I have often spoken about recycling and remodeling as well.

Tearing a house down gives a builder the opportunity to use some of those same materials and to build in that same place. It's new. It's fresh. It works.

Not everything needs to be torn down though. If the structure and the foundation are solid, remodeling is the answer. These are things I learned from my father throughout my life and when I followed in his footsteps years ago.

Taking those same principles universally, I learned early that conservation and preservation are important even and especially within the construction industry. What can I say? My father was a forward thinker.

So, my research will begin to depict my learning as far as the construction industry is concerned. But, what can we all do in our own little way? I'm learning a good bit about that as well.

Do you know that switching from a desktop to a laptop computer is a great energy saver? First of all, I didn't know there was anyone on the planet who still owned a desktop. I was amazed to learn years ago that a laptop had the same capabilities as a desktop, but I could carry it around with me. I write on planes and now I can even surf the internet sitting in a coffee shop. Could you imagine lugging a desktop around with you everywhere you go? And now, there is yet another reason why someone would want to purchase a laptop. It saves energy.

Use a slow cooker instead of the stove every time you possibly can. Do you really need to cook rice on the stove? Take a little extra time and put it in the crock-pot. You'll love the taste and the electric bill might not look so bad either.

One final thing for now is keeping your tires properly inflated. This has several benefits. You'll save on buying new tires because over-inflated and under-inflated tires wear much sooner than properly inflated tires do. But also, you'll save on the gas bill. Not having to fuel up as much will put a smile on your face when your car isn't being so hard on your wallet.

Being green means being concerned with both conservation and preservation. Conservation is managing what you use and preservation is managing what you have. But, you don't have to live your life in a shell. We can live our lives fully and completely enjoy them while at the same time making sure there is a great life left for our children to enjoy.

An Untapped Reservoir of Renewable Energy - What is Solar Energy?

The most exact definition of Solar Energy is plainly the energy from the sun. It is a term used to classify the electromagnetic radiation given off by the sun and tapped by the Earth. It is the worlds most enduring and reliable Reservoir of energy and the most ample. The uses on earth include solar heating for buildings, solar heat for manufacturing or industry and electricity production. So what is solar energy? How does it affect us?

Solar energy is responsible for weather systems and ocean currents. It provides light, heat, and energy to all living things on Earth. It has many uses. It supplies electricity; it can be used to power cars. It is also used as a power for satellites in space and in space shuttles. It could also power boats, generators during emergencies, toys, and even security systems.

The amount of solar energy that the earth receives is about 770 trillion kilowatts (kW), an amount 5,000 times bigger than the sum of all other energy, may it be terrestrial nuclear energy, geothermal energy or gravitational energy.

There are two types of solar energy. These are:

1. Thermal Energy
2. Electric Energy

What is the difference between the two types?

Thermal energy is kinetic energy. It is everywhere. It makes the earth hot and even heats up our homes. It helps us to dry our clothes. It is used as well to heat up water for house use or even swimming pools. That is why thermal energy is called the heat energy because it is stored in the center of the earth as well.

Electric energy is widely known to us as the electricity. It is an essential part of nature and it is one of our most widely used forms. This uses sunlight to power ordinary electrical equipment, such as house appliances, computers, and lighting.

Most applications of solar energy count on systems including collectors, storage and controls. Storage is needed for a reason that it is only available during daylight hours, but the need for energy exists both day and night. Controls are used to guarantee that the storage system works safely and efficiently.

The accessibility of solar energy is determined by three factors:

-The location is usually measured by latitude, longitude and altitude.
-The time.
-The weather.

Aside from knowing that solar energy is a free energy still, you have to realize that it also has advantages and disadvantages.

The advantages are:

Solar energy is almost infinite; it will be available for as long as there are people living on the earth. It is plentiful. You will not worry about running out of it. It could provide more power than all the known fossil fuel reserves. Solar energy is usable during the day when electricity usage is really important. It is the most inexhaustible, renewable source of energy known to man. It can be absorbed, reflected, transmitted, and insulated. It can be collected and stored in batteries.

The disadvantages are:

It is not suitable in cloudy areas. It is not accessible at night time. And it may require large land areas.

As a reminder, solar energy levels are lower the farther north or south of the equator the site is. Considering geography, season is an essential determinant of levels because of the Suns position and the weather may vary greatly from summer to winter.Given all these points solar energy offers us a huge reservoir of available power (minus most of the fossil fuel polution) with which we can advance the development of humanity.

My General Spiritual Beliefs
Going To Heaven Or Not

Now is Not the Time to Put Off Energy-Saving Improvements

With energy prices taking a back seat to concerns about the overall economy, it would be easy to put off dealing with long-term energy supplies. However, this is not the time to be complacent. These last few months in particular are likely a prelude to a longer term rollercoaster ride of energy prices, especially the dizzying peaks. That the power transmission system is antiquated and unreliable with no solution in sight simply adds urgency to the overall need to deal with energy issues. And with economic uncertainty comes the need to contain costs, especially energy expenditures.

Fortunately, options are available. Forward-thinking, innovative companies continue to develop solutions. Some technologies that will prove the most useful are mature and ready to go. Others are still in development but are close to realization. These technologies provide unprecedented opportunities to upgrade or fundamentally change the way energy needs are managed.

Environmental Factors

It is true that going green is golden. First there is the potential for cost savings through the use of "free fuel" technologies such as wind power and solar. Installing wind power generation capacity means eliminating the cost of fuel and the overhead of an outside supplier. This could result in an attractive ROI against the costs of installation. In addition, having pollution-free energy generation can help your company develop a green image.

An environmentally friendly company has an edge in terms of public perception, too. In consumer markets, being green can translate into sales. For industrial companies, the value is more in terms of public relations. Either way, converting to green energy provides an added bonus in upgrading a company's image.

Energy Independence

Energy independence isn't simply something politicians dream up during presidential campaigns. As a practical matter, the independence they speak of is probably unattainable in the foreseeable future. However, companies can achieve a degree of independence in their day-to-day operations. Finding the right alternative energy sources, such as geothermal, solar, or wind, can also help companies contain costs by allowing them to seize control of supply as well as demand.

For businesses in areas subject to brownouts or blackouts, controlling the energy source is critical. Consider what Fred Schultz, VP of Equity Research at Raymond James & Associates, said back in 2000, "The United States loses $40 to $50 billion in productivity each year because of lost electricity. And as we move to a more digital economy, those numbers will increase exponentially." We've moved to that more digital economy and it is likely that his estimate is short by half or more.

Companies that supply their own energy can design systems to fit their needs so load control and peak usage are not issues. This can be far better than having to deal with the limitations imposed by a power company's potentially poor judgment or being subject to the vagaries of a population's electrical energy usage patterns.

Location

Alternative energy options are often location specific. For example, a facility fortunate enough to be located near a premium geological heat source can probably make geothermal the centerpiece of its energy system. Effective solar-based generation depends on the number of clear days which are available, and that is often geographically specific too.

For most companies the choices are more limited. But those that can take advantage of geographic circumstances may reap large benefits. Fortunately, a number of alternate energy sources are not restricted by location. This multitude of options means that no one gets left out when it comes to taking advantage of economic and green energy resources.

Efficiency through Recycling

Many businesses have scrap or waste products that may represent nascent opportunities for economic gain. In facilities that have high temperature processes there is often a great deal of wasted heat that can be readily recovered. Every BTU generated requires fuel to make, so exhausting heat from a furnace, for example, has a cost. Every BTU recovered from a waste stream reduces the amount of fuel required to do that job. The idea is hardly new. Heat recovery systems for furnace exhaust date to the 19th century when James Howden was awarded U.S. patent No. 00288437 in 1883.

Paper mills, for example, can achieve significant savings by burning the wood scraps that cannot be used in paper making. The wood scraps they normally dispose of are instead used to fire the boilers used in their process and generate their own electricity. SMART Papers is in the process of converting its Hamilton mill to biomass and is on track to be free of fossil fuels in 2009. In fact, it expects to be selling excess power to the state power grid in 2010.

Solutions

Every company has unique energy needs. Recognizing and addressing those needs will likely be based on answering the basic question, "What energy source is right for you?" Solar? Geothermal? Biofuels? Heat recovery? The answer must take into consideration a number of factors that affect the types and demands of energy usage necessary to support operations. It is possible that the best option involves more than one of these new energy technologies to provide the best energy supply. This is not a new concept as many processing or manufacturing operations are already multi-source. The regional power company provides electricity for the facilities and the machinery while a petroleum company provides the hydrocarbon based fuel for the vehicles.

The best answer for your energy requirements will very likely mean a multisource strategy. To meet this challenge, you need an advisor with expertise across the wide spectrum of energy technologies available. Why Not to Go Natural and Use Solar Energy Systems?

It'd be a pleasure to meet one of the nature lovers if you're the one. Do you believe in natural conservation? Great! Using solar energy can contribute to a great extent in saving the earth as well. Since use of this power will reduce other conventional energy consumptions such as petroleum oil, gas, and coal, it'd result in reduced amount of emission from these fuels.

Almost unlimited advantages come with the use of renewable energy resources. Many energy systems and appliances are available today that can be used for domestic purposes as well. Whether it is heating, generating electricity, cooking or to do any household chores; solar energy can be at best in thousands of different ways.

Credited to these aspects, the demand of power energy systems is growing amazingly.
Millions of people across the world are using these energy systems and because of their choices, environment as well as the earth is being protected from pollution and alarming green house effects. Installing solar energy system is an easy job. These systems can avoid dependence on power grids.

Installing such system can be the best choices people ever make. On one hand, they can make a difference to the earth and environment by installing such energy products including solar energy panels and lights etc; on the other hand, they can save money in the long run. Besides these aspects, life becomes hassle-free because of non-dependence on power supply department.

Advantages of Solar Energy

There are many advantages. Some of the most visible advantages are:

1. It's a renewable energy resource, so you can use as much as you need for all practical purposes and it's not going to finish.

2. It is pollution free. There are no harmful substances that it produces.

3. It is available everywhere. Unlike petroleum and coal, it doesn't exist only in some parts of the earth; you can find it everywhere, free of cost.

4. The technology that is needed to use solar power as energy in order to produce heat and light, and electricity is already available.

5. Easy to install and use.

6. Cheap source of power. The systems needs very low maintenance costs.

7. Low observation required for small systems.

Needless to say, the use of solar energy systems is growing rapidly. Most of them include home energy systems. These home energy systems, solar energy panels and kits are used as alternative energy sources across the world.

And nowadays, the use of power systems is not limited to areas that are far from power grids. You can find a great number of people who have installed these home solar energy systems at home. If you save energy, earth keeps you safe too. Good luck!

Solar energy is of great use. Since its renewable energy resource, the use of solar energy systems is growing very rapidly. Nowadays, people are using home solar energy systems at their homes.

Thriving in Today's Building Industry

For nearly 20 years Sony ruled the portable music industry with its popular brand Walkman. Through cassettes to CDs Sony Walkman was an industry leader in portable music players, yet in 2001 this seemingly unstoppable force fell from the top down to just another name in crowd of generic alternatives. In October of 2001 Apple launched the iPod and completely overtook the market. Apple recognized that the consumer market had changed and the demand for digital music and Mp3s was taking over traditional forms like CDs. Meanwhile the Walkman was left behind still doing things the old way.

The reality is that the past is the past. Markets are always changing and for businesses to remain successful and thrive they must adapt with them. The building and remodeling industry is not the same as it was 5 or 10 years ago, so if you are still approaching customers like you were back then, you are probably seeing a decline in sales. What do you do about a drop in sales? Adjust to today's marketplace.

Will energy costs rise, fall or stay the same? No matter what, the new normal is that energy for your car at the gas pump (According to Money Magazine this expense is 5% of a typical budget) - energy to heat and cool your house (According to Money Magazine this expense is 4% of household budgets) are high. What can a consumer do today to lower their gas expense for their current car? Right, not much. But what can a consumer do today to lower their energy costs on their home? Right, allot!!!

From Jonathan Sweet, Senior Editor, May 1, 2008 Professional Remodeler Magazine:

"Two major factors will combine to make green have staying power: rising energy costs and the more environmentally friendly attitudes of younger consumers - the homeowners of the future."

"This is certainly not the end of rising energy costs, so people will continue to be looking at energy efficiency," says Sekley. "It appeals to people who are more environmentally conscious and there's a dollar and cents benefit."

According to Money Magazine:

Home energy - Seal up your house

4% of your household budget.

Up 9% from a year ago

To find air leaks, conduct a home-energy audit following the instructions at energystar.gov or hire a pro to do it for $200 and up.

You can cut up to 25% of your heating and cooling costs by adding insulation and using caulk, spray foam and weather-stripping to seal leaks around windows and doors and in attics and basements.

Potential savings: $1,375 in five years, after materials

Today's successful home improvement contractor needs to realize that yesterday's solutions do not solve today's problems.... Green and Energy Conservation are not fads...they are trends that affect behavior and drive consumer's decisions.

Today's homeowner, although concerned about their home's aesthetics, are looking at much more practical ways to invest in their home. Studies today indicate that they want to improve the energy efficiency of their home, 87% of homeowners rank energy efficiency as the most important upgrade and 90% say they would pay up to $5,000 more for an energy efficient home. Energy efficiency will not only save you money on energy bills but will add value to your home.

Green at Home

Look around your home! You will be surprised on how much wasted electricity is being used in your home. Most individuals do not even realize this is happening, Some manufacturers are starting to become environmentally green but we have a long way to go. It is our responsibility to be Green At Home.

First thing I want you to do is find your computer and monitor and shut them off. They are one of the biggest unknowns in hidden electrical users in the home. No one really thinks about this but reality time is here, it time to shut it off when you are finished with them.

If you think about this, you probably use the computer a maximum of 1 hour a day. Most people use them strictly to look at their email and do a little surfing. That means the computer is on 23 more additional hours consuming electricity that is not needed. That means you are wasting your hard earned money on nothing but helping to support the electricity company.

First thing your think is, it will go into sleep mode because you're a bit energy conscious already, you put the thing to sleep at night. False, when a computer is put in sleep mode, it still uses up to 77% of its original energy it normally consumes. Turning it off is being Green At Home.

If you have a laptop, using the "hibernate" mode, actually does shut it off, and it consumes no electricity. It also saves the data to the hard drive so when you restart it, you start where you left off. I personally use this mode on my own laptop, it works very well. When you turn it on, it goes back to where you left off.

Most of us do not realize that the power sources in these computers are on the average 250 watt power supplies or more. That means you are burning two 100 watt light bulbs and one 50 watt light bulb at all times. If you have one of the bigger computers, you are even burning more light bulbs. Would you leave extra lights on in your home if you were not there? Wow, the light just went on in your mind. Turning it off is being Green At Home.

Most of us do not think about little things like this. It is the little things that can fool most of us because we don't really see the effect, like we would a light bulb. Remember, every little bit helps save energy consumption in our home. It time to be be Green At Home.

Just by shutting off your computer you will see immediate savings on your electrical bill and save money. According to the Energy Information Administration of the US Government (see website), the average cost per kilowatt hour is $.11. So if you are burning excessive wattage, this can add up quickly. So if you have a computer and a monitor on 24 hours a day, it adds up to approximately $19.00 a month. So you can instantly save approximately $14.00 a month(depending on usage) by simply turning off your computer when not using it.

In conclusion, "Green At Home" is important. Being aware of little things will help you save money on your electrical bill each and every month. When you finish with your computer, shut it off to save money on your electrical bill. Be sure to share this article with your friends so they can all save money and help conserve our resources.
